Fish Cabbage Mix Chechda Recipe is a unique and very tasty food item in
Odisha. It is very tasty with Chapati. You can eat rice also but people
like to eat with Chapati. Let's see how to make this.
Fish Cabbage Mix Chechda Cooking Procedure
1. Clean the fish and add 1 tsp salt and 1tsp turmeric. Mix it properly.
2. Heat the pan and put some Mustard oil (cooking oil) in the pan & Fry the cabbage and potatoes for 5-10 mins and keep them aside then add some Mustard oil in the same pan and fry the fish.
3. Take the fish to a plate and now in the same pan add some Mustard oil to add onion and fry till golden brown.
4. Add ginger, garlic paste, and fry it, then add chili powder, turmeric powder, tomatoes and fry for some time, add 1 tbsp fish curry powder into it.
5. When masala leaves the oil, add fried fish and crush it into the Pan, Add cabbage, potato, and salt. Mix it properly.
6. Now cover with a plate, cook till the cabbage and potato became boiled properly. Then add garam masala and mix well.
7. Now the Cabbage (Bandha Kobi) Machha Chhinchada is ready to serve.

Fish Cabbage Mix Chechda Ingredients
- 1 Head and tail portion of Rohi or Bakura fish
- Potato - 2 "cut into the small cube"
- Onion - 2 small sliced
- Ginger paste - 1tsp
- Garlic paste - 1tsp
- Tomato - 1 small
- Turmeric powder - 2tsp
- Chili powder - 2tsp
- Cabbage - 500gm ( cut into thin slices)
- Fish curry powder - 1tsp
- Mustard oil
- Salt
- Garam masala-1 tsp
