Odia feature film Hello Arsi has been selected as one of 12 films for 2018 Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in First Feature Competition category.
Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival, or POFF, is an annual film festival to be held in Tallinn, the capital city of Estonia, from November 16 to December 2.
Representing countries from five continents, the festival adds eleven competition films to the previously announced seven, with six of them originating from European countries, two from Asia, two from the Americas and one from Africa.
Hello Arsi is presented posthumously after the director Sambit Mohanty’s (1962-2017) sudden demise last year, right after completing shooting. He was involved in the Film Society Movement and the co-founder of the In screen Film Society in Bhubaneswar.
‘Hello, Arsi’ won the 65th National Award as the best Odia feature along with actress Prakruti Mishra winning Special Mention within the movie and Best Dialogue.
