The Commissionerate Police decided to summon Sweta Utkal Kumari's suspected boyfriend Soumyajit Mohapatra for questioning and has accelerated the inquiry into the suicide of the woman software engineer in Bhubaneswar. In order to determine the precise reason why Sweta took the drastic action, the CP is anticipated to examine Soumyajit.
The summons is significant since Sweta's family has accused Soumyajit of encouraging her suicide. According to reports, the police searched a management institute in the city where Soumyajit attends classes. After Sweta's body was discovered hanging in an apartment in Bhubaneswar on Sunday, he is now under police surveillance.
It was rumored that Sweta, a Bhadrak resident, and employee of a reputable IT firm in Bhubaneswar, was dating Soumyajit. The deceased's family said that she committed a heinous act as a result of her lover extorting money from her.
A phone and a diary were found in the deceased's chamber by the police. Soumyajit, the name of her partner, was apparently mentioned in the diary. Meanwhile, the police have filed a case against her boyfriend Soumyajit under IPC Section 306 as a result of a complaint made by the deceased's father (offense of abetment to suicide).
