"Startup Odisha Yatra 2.0," a flagship initiative to identify grassroots innovators and encourage youth entrepreneurship, was introduced by Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday, an official said.
Over the course of 60 days, the yatra will visit more than 100 educational institutions spread across 30 districts, he said. When announcing the event, Naveen Patnaik stated that the project would expose young minds to the world of business.
There are currently 10,000 jobs being created by the more than 1,300 recognized start-ups in Odisha. The CM noted that women entrepreneurs are in charge of 40% of the start-ups.
By 2025, the state hopes to have assisted in the formation of 5,000 new businesses, and the Startup Odisha Yatra 2.0 will play a key role in advancing creative thinking, according to the official.
In the upcoming two months, boot camps will be held at various universities as part of the yatra to promote idea generation, the source stated.
