To meet the growing healthcare demands, the Odisha Health and Family Welfare Department has sanctioned the creation of eight new Urban Primary Health Centres (UPHCs) across seven districts.

According to a departmental notification, Jajpur district will have two UPHCs, and one each will be set up in Mayurbhanj, Malkangiri, Balasore, Sundargarh, Angul, and Cuttack districts.
