The Indian Railways intends to introduce the "Jagannath Express" in an effort to promote Jagannath culture. According to Ashwini Vaishnaw, minister of railways, the proposed Jagannath Express will be unveiled prior to the Rath Yatra festival in Puri, which attracts thousands of devotees from all over the nation and the world each year.
The projected Jagannath Express, according to Vaishnaw, will be a component of the Bharat Gaurav Trains (Theme-based Tourist Circuit Trains), which were launched to show off India's outstanding historical sites and rich cultural legacy to both Indians and others around the globe.
The initiative has included Ramayan Express as the first, and with the addition of Jagannath Express, worshippers will undoubtedly be able to experience some of the cuisine, culture, and language of the Jagannath people, according to Vaishnaw. The railway minister added that in addition to the Jagannath Express, Odisha will soon receive the Vande Bharat Express.
