Odisha will receive 5G service in its initial phase: Ashwini Vaishnaw

Ashwini Vaishnaw, the minister of communications and information technology, announced on Thursday that very soon, high-speed 5G services will be made available in various areas of the nation, including Odisha. Vaishnaw stated that Odisha will receive 5G service in the very first phase while speaking with reporters in Puri.

When asked if the 5G radiation has any effects on people, he responded: “The amount of radiation it will give forth is 10 times less than the radiation norms set by the World Health Organisation (WHO). So, no one should worry about it.”


Vaishnaw had earlier requested that the telecom service providers be prepared for the launch of 5G following the issue of spectrum allocation letters. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that 5G services would soon be available in India during his Independence Day speech from the Red Fort's ramparts.
