The setting up of 10 industrial projects with a total investment of Rs. 2005.89 crore, which would provide 3,545 jobs in the state, received in-principle clearance from the Odisha government on Monday.
The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) committee meeting, presided over by Chief Secretary S C Mohapatra, approved ten industrial projects, including those under the headings of metal and metal downstream, pharmaceutical, chemical, infrastructure, and tourism.
The SLSWCA approved Summa Real Media Private Limited's proposal to build a pharmaceutical manufacturing and research facility with an annual capacity of 1.6 billion units at Gothapatna in Bhubaneswar's Khurda district for an investment of Rs 200 crore.
The facility would include manufacturing pharmaceutical formulations, manufacturing active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), and a pharmaceutical research and development center.
More than 1,280 people will have work chances thanks to this project. Additionally, the committee authorized Sanvira Industries Limited's plans to invest Rs 205.44 crore to build a 100,000 MT Carbon Electrode Paste manufacturing facility at Danagadi, Jajpur district. 260 people will be employed as a result of this.
The proposal by Sai Bulk Bags Private Limited to build a manufacturing facility for Chemicals (Sulphuric Acid, Surfactant), Fine Fabric/HDPE/PPWoven Sacks, and Chemicals (Sulphuric Acid, Surfactant), with annual capacities of 144000 MT and 24000 MT and an investment of Rs 135.95 crore also received approval.
For 301 people, the project will result in job opportunities. The SLSWCA also approved United Ferrocast Private Limited's plan to build a 0.11 MTPA Ferro Alloys factory (224 MVA) at Badchana, Jajpur district, at a cost of Rs 261.1 crore, creating 376 jobs.
For an investment of Rs 775 crore, Balento Enterprises Private Limited received approval to build a 5 MTPA Iron Ore Beneficiation plant and a 3 MTPA Pellet plant in Jhumpura, Keonjhar district, creating employment possibilities for around 314 people.
The request by Oriclean Private Limited to build a production facility for sauces, jams, jellies, and marmalades with a combined capacity of 60,000 MT per year at an investment of Rs 88 crore with 160 job possibilities were also approved. Additionally, DN Sea Shells Private Limited received approval to build a shrimp processing facility in Seafood Park, Deras, in the Khurda district for an estimated investment of Rs 50.40 crore.
This project will provide jobs for about 409 persons. The application by Runaya Aluminium Private Limited (RAPL) to build a 5000 MT aluminum powder and pigments plant in the Jharsuguda area at an investment of Rs 80 crore, creating jobs for 125 people, was accepted by the committee.
With an investment of Rs 85 crore, Mayfair Hotels & Resorts Limited received approval to expand its current facility, Mayfair Palm Beach Resort, in the Ganjam region, with the potential to employ 120 people.
The SLSWCA committee also approved Naresh Kumar and Co Pvt Ltd's request to build a Warehousing and Logistics Park at Baghuapal in the Jajpur district for an investment of Rs 125 crore and the creation of 200 jobs.
