Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS) Student Indrani Chhatria, has been chosen the captain of Odisha Women's U-19 cricket team.
This is for the first time a student from KISS got captain-ship of Odisha girls' Cricket team.Indrani will lead Odisha team in Under-19 Women T-20 Tournaments.
Another KISS student, Sonali Hembram has also found a place in the Odisha team. Odisha team will play their first league match on October 14 against Manipur.
Other scheduled matches are
Tripura on October 15
Mumbai on October 18
Delhi on October 20
Maharashtra on October 21 and
Arunachal Pradesh on October 23 next.
The super league match will start on October 27 next and the Final match will be held on November 4 next.
Congratulating both Indrani and Sonali, KIIT & KISS Founder, Dr. Achyuta Samanta, said, it is matter of pride that, two students of KISS have been selected in Odisha U 19 girls’ Cricket team.
