The Odisha Government has introduced ‘Odisha School Monitoring Application’ for online tracking the performance of School teachers, students at primary level.
The application ‘Odisha School Monitoring Application’, developed by School and Mass Education Department with the help of National Informatics Centre (NIC), is being used initially by a selected number of District Education Officers, Block Education Officers, and few others on a trial basis.
A NIC official said “Initially we are sending APK file of the application to the selective number of officials to use it. As the bug fixing and cybersecurity assessment of the application is yet to be done. Once these works get over, it will be made available for officials in play-store and other such platforms”
It was proposed to be introduced on June 18,2018 but due to the extension of summer vacation, it was delayed till June 26, officials of Orissa Primary Education Programme Authority (OPEPA) said.
This app also has the function, such as School Inspection, student assessment, school performance card, review mechanism among others, the NIC said.
