Odisha girl Omshi Samal, a Class XII student of the DAV Public School, Chandrasekharpur, has been selected as a prestigious Global Google Code Winner 2017 among 50 winners through an online test. Where 3,555 students from 78 countries participated in the contest.
Omshi's project on liquid galaxy has won the first prize in its category and attracted much attention from the experts. She would also get attractive prizes and other packages during her trip to the USA. School Principal Dr. KC Satapathy and Supervisor Niranjan Swain congratulated Omshi for this feat.
The Google has invited Omshi and her parent to the USA on a week-long study trip where Omshi would be honored at Google Headquarters in a special function.Omshi, daughter of Banker Soumya Ranjan Samal and homemaker Suman Kalyani Samal, has passed Class X with 96 percent marks.
