Odia Ilishi Fish Mahura Masala Recipe Ingredients
1. Ilish Fish – 500gm2. Potato – 300gm
3. Yam – 200gm
4. Buta dal – 50gm (saturate with water for 30 mins)
5. Garlic Paste – 7 cloves (paste)
6. Onion – 2 (paste)
7. Ginger – 1 inch (paste)
8. Teja Patra – 2
9. Dalchin powder
10. Roasted cumin seeds
11. Red chili – 2 pc
12. Green chili paste – 4 (paste)
13. Turmeric powder
14. Pancha Phutan
15. Mustard oil
16. Salt
How to make Odia Ilishi Fish Mahura Masala
- Clean the fish & cut it into small pieces.
- Marinate fish with turmeric powder & salt.
- Half fry it in mustard oil
- Boil 6-7 cups of water
- Add potato, desi aloo, buta dal, salt, Haldi & leave it until half cooked.
- Then heat 6-7 spoons of mustard oil in a pan. Fry dried chili, Teja Patra & Pancha phutan
- Add all of the Garlic paste, Onion paste, Ginger paste, salt, turmeric powder & fry it till oil comes out from the paste.
- Then add fried fish & mix each other properly
- Let it cook till becomes gravy. Sprinkle dalchin powder, roasted cumin, chili powder. Serve it with steamed rice.
