Spicy Curly Flower Potato Masala - Kobi Alu Kasa

Ingredients for making Spicy Curly Flower Potato Masala - Kobi Alu Kasa 

  • Curly Flower: 700g
  • Potato: 300g 
  • Onion: 2 Medium
  • Garlic: 10 Cloves 
  • Ginger: 1/2" 
  • Red Chili Powder: 1 Tea Spoon 
  • Turmeric: 1 Tea Spoon 
  • Cinnamon: Powder 
  • Refine Oil: 5 Table Spoon
  • Salt: To taste
  • Coriander Leaves 

Steps to making Spicy Curly Flower Potato Masala - Kobi Alu Kasa 

  1. Boil the potatoes, peel those off, and cut them into pieces.
  2. Cut the curly flower into pieces and wash the pieces in water.
  3. Make a fine paste of Ginger, Garlic, and one onion.
  4. Chop the other onion into fine strips.
  5. Hit two tablespoons of oil in a pan and put the pieces of the curly flower. Fry it for 10 mins on medium flame. Once it is fried (softness will come in the curly flower) remove it from the pan and keep it aside.
  6. Put the rest of the oil into the pan. Add the chopped onion and fry it until the color of the onion is changed to a light golden brown. Then add the ginger, garlic, and onion paste that you have prepared. Add Turmeric powder and red chili powder to it.
  7. On a low flame fry it till the ground spices leave starts being separated from the oil. Be careful that the ground spices don't stick to the pan. 
  8. Add the fried curly flower and potato to the spices add 3-4 spoons of water and salt to taste. Fry it for 5-7 mins till it becomes dry enough.
  9. Remove the preparation from the flame, sprinkle cinnamon power on it, and mix it well.
  10. Serve the dish with coriander leaves.
